Rodney Mclean is the steady groove behind Freedom Tribe’s sound as the band’s talented bassist and guitarist. With a rich background in gospel, reggae, and funk, Rodney’s deep, melodic bass lines and rhythmic guitars anchor the band’s diverse musical styles. Known for his lively playing and contagious spirit, Rodney brings both skill and passion to every song, helping to create an uplifting worship experience.
Anton Ricardo is a seasoned bass player and musical arranger with over 30 years of experience. Primarily a gospel musician, Anton’s versatility extends across a wide range of genres, sharing stages with and accompanying both local and international artistes, including Lauryn Hill, Brian McKnight, CeCe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Dr. Ron Kenoly (RIP), Keith Staten, Shawn Mitchell, Chevelle Franklin, Sherwin Gardner, Charmaine Forde, and many others. He has performed at Jazz Festival, around the world, on numerous recordings, and earned a reputation as a highly skilled, dependable, and versatile musician. Beyond the music, Anton has a genuine and deep desire to reach others with the love of Christ, using his gifts to make a positive difference in the lives of those he encounters.
